Complex needs require more than just clinical expertise – they require patience, creativity, and a deep commitment to understanding each person as an individual.
Located in beautiful Lincolnshire countryside on the outskirts of Fleet, Capricorn Cottage provides a safe, calm environment where people with complex needs can genuinely thrive. Our purpose-built home is surrounded by care-friendly landscaped gardens, offering peaceful outdoor spaces that many of our residents find reassuring.
We work with people from a wide range of backgrounds with varying levels of need. What sets us apart is our responsive, innovative approach – we're proactive in finding accommodation and support solutions that are flexible and tailored to each individual.
Not everyone fits neatly into traditional care models – and that's okay.
At Capricorn Cottage, we pride ourselves on being an organisation that listens, is proactive, and responsive. We understand that complex needs can mean different things for different people, and our approach reflects that.
What makes our complex needs care different:
We're not a 'one size fits all' service – We work proactively with each person to understand what works for them, adapting and changing support at every stage.
Innovative, flexible solutions – When traditional approaches don't work, we get creative. We find ways to provide care that genuinely meets individual needs.
Deep understanding – Our team takes time to understand not just someone's care needs, but their background, preferences, routines, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable.
Experienced specialist staff – Over 13 years of experience working with adults with learning disabilities in various environments, from community-based services to complex one-to-one packages of care.
Holistic support – We look at the whole person, supporting them to reach their goals, maintain life skills, and live as independently as possible.

ABOUT OUR APPROACH
We strive to bring the highest standard of care to enhance quality of life for people with complex needs. Our commitment to person-centred, flexible support means we promote choice, dignity, respect, and control – even when needs are challenging.
Our staff are trained and passionate about responding to individual needs. They're experienced in enabling people to reach their aspirations and goals whilst developing and maintaining life skills, all whilst providing the additional support that complex needs require.
We work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and social services to ensure comprehensive, coordinated support. When behaviours are challenging, we respond with patience, understanding, and evidence-based approaches that prioritise dignity and wellbeing.
Our complex needs services include:
Everything we do is guided by three core principles that we believe everyone deserves, regardless of how complex their needs might be:
Respect – We treat every individual with genuine respect, valuing their dignity and worth.
Dignity – Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity, to have privacy, and to be supported in ways that maintain their self-respect.
Independence – We promote independence wherever possible, supporting people to make choices and maintain control over their own lives.

We understand that finding the right care for complex needs can feel overwhelming. Our experienced team is here to listen, discuss your specific situation, and help you understand whether we can provide the support you're looking for.
