At Capricorn Cottage, residents enjoyed a football-themed afternoon inspired by the nation's love of the beautiful game with Sam from Kixx Boston. The event brought together residents, staff and visitors for a fun-filled session of football activities, friendly competition and plenty of laughter. The activities encouraged participation and teamwork from all those involved!
Meanwhile, at Kimberley Care Village, residents took part in a lively Sports Day that brought out everyone's competitive spirit. The event featured a range of accessible games and activities designed to promote movement, engagement and enjoyment for all abilities. Residents cheered one another on throughout the day, creating a wonderful atmosphere filled with encouragement, smiles and celebration.
Care Home Open Week is an annual opportunity to open our doors to the local community, highlight the positive impact of care services and celebrate the people who make our homes such welcoming places. Throughout the week, both homes welcomed family members and visitors, helping to strengthen connections between residents and the wider community.
Activities such as Sports Day and football-themed events are about much more than friendly competition. They support physical wellbeing, encourage social interaction, stimulate memories and, most importantly, create opportunities for residents to have fun and make lasting memories together.
