Capricorn Cottage was filled with colour, music, delicious food and celebration on Wednesday as residents, staff, families and friends came together for a very special Culture Day.
The event celebrated the diverse cultures and traditions within our Capricorn Cottage community, with a particular focus on Sri Lanka, India, Portugal and Nigeria.

Throughout the day, residents and guests had the opportunity to experience traditions from each of the four countries. From vibrant cultural dances and national anthems to traditional cuisine and fantastic entertainment, there was plenty for everyone to enjoy.
The celebration created a wonderful atmosphere throughout Capricorn Cottage, giving residents, families, friends and staff the opportunity to come together, learn more about different cultures and enjoy new experiences.
Food was a particular highlight, with traditional dishes offering everyone the chance to discover different flavours and cuisines. Music, dancing and entertainment brought even more energy to the celebrations and made Culture Day a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
Events such as Culture Day are an important part of life at Capricorn Cottage. As well as being great fun, they provide opportunities for residents to socialise, participate in meaningful activities and share experiences with the people around them.
Culture Day also gave our team the opportunity to celebrate the different backgrounds, traditions and experiences that make our community so special.
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff, whose hard work, creativity and enthusiasm helped make the event such a success. From organising the activities and entertainment to preparing food and bringing each culture to life, an incredible amount of effort went into creating a fantastic experience for our residents and their guests.
Thank you also to all the families and friends who joined us and helped make the day such a wonderful celebration.
We look forward to many more opportunities to bring our Capricorn Cottage community together and create special memories with our residents, families and friends.
