The residents, staff and visitors at Capricorn Cottage had a wonderful time at the fete on Friday. We had an old fashioned sweet shop and candyfloss, bric a brac, tombola and a raffle. We raised a little over £70 for Macmillan and £285 for the residents amenity funds. This is the first of many to come - our next date to put in your calendar is the Christmas Fayre on the 9th December, and then the Christmas party on the 15th. Work is under way on a new purpose-built cafe in the grounds of Capricorn Cottage. The new Hive Cafe will be officially opened later this month by Coun Rodney Grocock, chairman of South Holland District Council. The 34-bed residential home for people with learning disabilities is providing the cafe for residents so they can enjoy a drink with their friends away from the main buildings. The cafe will also offer the chance for neighbours to get to know residents over a hot drin
