

Charity Fete success at Capricorn Cottage
The residents, staff and visitors at Capricorn Cottage had a wonderful time at the fete on Friday. We had an old fashioned sweet shop and candyfloss, bric a brac, tombola and a raffle. We raised a little over £70 for Macmillan and £285 for the residents amenity funds. This is the first of many to come - our next date to put in your calendar is the Christmas Fayre on the 9th December, and then the Christmas party on the 15th. The Hive Grand Opening
There was the chatter of excitement at Capricorn Cottage this Friday, as The Hive Coffee shop formally opened its doors! Councillor Rodney Grocock along with Christine Grocock, the First Lady of South Holland cut the ribbon whilst "Pavanotti" entertained the residents, their families, neighbours and staff who all came to support on this special occasion. Hive of activity for Capricorn Cottage
Work is under way on a new purpose-built cafe in the grounds of Capricorn Cottage. The new Hive Cafe will be officially opened later this month by Coun Rodney Grocock, chairman of South Holland District Council. The 34-bed residential home for people with learning disabilities is providing the cafe for residents so they can enjoy a drink with their friends away from the main buildings. The cafe will also offer the chance for neighbours to get to know residents over a hot drin


100th Birthday Celebrations

His excellency the lieutenant governor, Sir Richard Gozney, of the Isle of Man kindly came to visit her and the residents of Sunnydale. We had all the family for a party.
