Capricorn Cottage Hub is currently looking for a highly motivated, professional, passionate, creative, and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our expanding services. Capricorn Cottage supports adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs.

Capricorn Cottage is a residential home for people with Learning and Physical Disabilities. Located in Fleet, Lincolnshire, we were rated “Good” in the last CQC inspection. Our professional and friendly team is continuing providing high-quality care and support for all people we support.

Role Overview:

The primary role of a Deputy Manager is to support the Registered Manager to oversee and lead a team of staff within Capricorn Cottage and Community Supported Living. To provide a high-quality service for people with a Learning Disability. You will implement the standards of care and support as directed by the Registered Manager, ensuring that you manage and oversee the quality of services in your day-to-day role.

The services work flexibly over a 7-day period to meet the needs of people. You will be supernumerary and cover 2:1 support hours and shifts when required. You will be required to take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota. You will lead a team of staff to ensure that they provide a high-quality service. You will ensure that the aims and objectives of the services are always met.

Requirements:

Your duties will also include:

  • A full-time (42 hours) Deputy Manager to promote and ensure the highest standards of care and support for people who use the service.

  • To deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence

  • To communication effectively with people, professionals thus promoting a good working relationship within the team and the community.

  • To respect people’s, values, always acting in an empowering manner that promotes people’s dignity, rights, independence, and choice.

  • To maintain compliance in line with Pearl Healthcare Policies and Procedures.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Safety is paramount to us all, we support all our staff and the people we support to stay safe by wearing the correct PPE. Staff are issued with aprons, gloves, and facemasks. We have temperature screening for all staff and visitors. All our staff required to take regular PCR COVID tests as per Public Health and Government advise.

We have a housekeeping team that ensures the service to kept clean to the highest standards of IPC. All care and support is carried out following the latest Government guidance. Our expectation is that all staff have had or will have the Covid- 19 vaccination, unless they can provide an exemption reason.
