Cook - Kimberley Care Village
Salary of £10.25 per hour
We have an exciting opportunity for a home cook or an experienced cook to join the team. Due to the development of the Kimberley Care Village, we are looking to expand our highly skilled and passionate team of cooks.
We pride ourselves on cooking mostly traditional dishes that the residents who live at Kimberley Care Village are familiar with. We ensure that we always have two cooks on shift which enables and facilitates the passion that we strive to, thus ensuring we serve great food to the residents who live at Kimberley Care Village.
We ensure that our menus are nutritionally balanced and healthy with the support from our onsite nutritionists and offer a wide range of choice, we welcome input from the residents who live at Kimberley on designing our menus. We celebrate and cater for resident’s cultural and religious nutritional needs as well as any special dietary needs.
Our Head Cook would support you with in house training, advice, and professional development.
Salary:
We are offering a competitive hourly rate of £10.25 p/h with enhanced payment during bank holidays.

Requirements of a Cook:
Your duties will also include:

Checking and Maintaining Kitchen Equipment
-
Under leadership of the Head Cook to prepare meals for residents in accordance with their preferences and dietary requirements

Complete Necessary Paperwork – such as COSHH and HACPP
-
Catering for Special Events – such a Birthday Parties, Summer BBQ’s & Christmas Parties

Managing Food Stock
COVID-19 Precautions:
Safety is paramount to us all, we support all our staff and the people we support to stay safe by wearing the correct PPE. Staff are issued with aprons, gloves, and facemasks. We have temperature screening for all staff and visitors. All staff required to undergo regular COVID- 19 test in line with the Public Health advise.
We have a housekeeping team that ensures the service to kept clean to the highest standards of IPC. All care and support is carried out following the latest Government guidance. Our expectation is that all staff have had or will have the Covid- 19 vaccination, unless they can provide an exemption reason.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working a rota to include alternate weekends and Bank Holidays. Working hours between 7.30 am and 5 pm.
