Capricorn Cottage Hub is currently looking to recruit Support Workers to match the demand of the growth of the business.

Capricorn Cottage is a residential home for people with Learning and Physical Disabilities. Located in Fleet, Lincolnshire, we were rated “Good” in the last CQC inspection. Our professional and friendly team is continuing providing high-quality care and support for all people we support.

Salary:

Flexible part time and full time hours with a competitive wages rate of £10.54 per hour, rising to £10.69 per hour following the completion of a successful probation period, then increasing again to £10.79 per hour after one years’ service.

Complex Needs Support Worker Role Overview:

 

We are looking for passionate, professional, and dedicated support workers to work with adults with autistic spectrum disorders and challenging behaviour in our Complex Needs Services.

As a member of our team, you will strive to bring out the best in every person by supporting and guiding them in their daily lives. This could be in the form of helping the person undertake daily living skills, learning or developing abilities for independent living or accompanying them to take part in an activity.

Our aim is to enable every person using our services to have positive experiences and progress according to their individual abilities. The desired outcome is for people to gain increased levels of independence in order to maximise their strengths, abilities and ambitions.

Requirements of a Complex Needs Support Worker:

· Professionals who are patient, sociable and empathetic, in order to establish good relationships with the people you will support based on confidence, trust, understanding and mutual respect.

· Prepared to support people with challenging behaviour which may be exhibited by the people we support at any time for any number of reasons.

· Willing to assist in service tasks such as cleaning in order to maintain the high level of cleanliness expected within people’s homes.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Safety is paramount to us all, we support all our staff and the people we support to stay safe by wearing the correct PPE. Staff are issued with aprons, gloves, and facemasks. We have temperature screening for all staff and visitors. All staff required to take regular PCR test.

We have a housekeeping team that ensures the service to kept clean to the highest standards of IPC. All care and support is carried out following the latest Government guidance. Our expectation is that all staff have had or will have the Covid- 19 vaccination, unless they can provide an exemption reason.
