Younger Adults

 Tudor Lodge

Tudor Lodge as its names suggests is a large Tudor Style house that has been sympathetically converted to meet the needs of 16 adults with past or present mental health needs (Social Services Category MP)

Once more Tudor Lodge is in a prime location in Douglas just up the road from the Villa Marina with easy access to all the amenities the town and beach has to offer

Our Manager Mary Callaghan has over 18 years experience and may be contacted on 01624 676841 or via our email on pearl@cheerful.com

Glen House

Glen House is a large Victorian building and like Sunnydale has a history of being a hotel in the past. The MP facility is adjacent to the elderly part of the Home having its own private access. It is again within easy access of all local amenities and sits by the Glen where it meets New Road in Laxey Village. A good bus service is on the door step.

Resident needs choices and Lifestyle

Residents at both younger care facilities liaise with staff to discuss their likes, interests and goals. This could include:

·        Supporting residents finding a meaningful job
·         learning to cook
·        Support with independent living and self care
·        Budgeting
·         simply find the confidence to go to the shops
·        We can help access college course

Support is given to help the residents each achieve their goals and we encourage them to develop their interests and hobbies

The homes are large with plenty of space for the residents to spread out and enjoy time by themselves or with others.

We support residents to use local community amenities to develop their social awareness within the community. These include the leisure centre, shops, library, college, volunteer groups and places of worship

Staffing

Residents in all of our Homes are supported by a committed team of staff led by experienced Registered Home Managers. All staff are supported in both in-house and externally provided training to ensure they are equipped to fulfil their role within the Home
