Tributes continue to flood in

 

Following on from Julie's success at the National Care Awards where she won the category of "Best Care Manager" of the 2011 awards tributes arrive daily

Julie has been interviewed by the local radio and newspaper both of which have caused great excitement amongst the residents and staff

Cards and tributes have been received from the local Breakthrough Breast Cancer group for whom Julie and her team raises funds, past and present relatives and other healthcare personnel

Julie says "the response has been staggering and the momentum continues to grow"

"Complete strangers come up to me in the street to offer their congratulations"

 "It was a wonderful night and I feel very proud to be representing Pearl Healthcare and the Isle of Man in this way"

Elderly Care

Sunnydale

Sunnydale although not purpose built boasts en-suite rooms and spacious lounges, dining rooms, conservatory, indoor garden room and a beached themed activity room. We also enjoy the luxury of our own hairdressing salon!
 
As its name suggests Sunnydale faces south ensuring we have most of the sunshine which floods into all the rooms situated on the front of the Home providing a bright and airy feel the building
 
 
 
 

We are well situated in Douglas close to the newsagent, chemist and post office and only a short walk down to the promenade

 
  • Independence is encouraged but assistance is available by fully trained staff 24 hours a day
  • Our success is built around our philosophy of “Patient Centred Care” where how your day is spent is decided by you with as much or as little input as you need from the team of carers
  • You can enjoy a worry free time in complete privacy or choose to join in with our very popular activity sessions held each afternoon
  • Some rooms enjoy stunning sea views
  • Respite as well as long term care is available

 Glen House in Laxey holds dual registration for both Elderly Care and a separate 7 bedded facility for younger adults with past or present mental health needs

 
Glen House nestles alongside Laxey Glen within easy reach of the beach and harbour. Again close to all the local amenities you would want to find such as post office, chemist, optician and local doctors surgery.
