Recent months has seen the start of inter-home activities and competition between the Homes runs high. Each week we all descend on the residents of Glen House to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities always followed by tea and cream cakes. This has proved to be an important aspect of our lives where the younger adults feel a great sense of pride in being able to help the elderly residents

 

 

Residents Fund Raising
 
This is another area of our lives that has gone from strength to strength. PHC has adopted “Breakthrough Breast Cancer IOM” as there chosen charity and raise money by holding an annual “Think Pink” party where residents and staff alike dress up in as many outrageous pink items as they can, making a valuable contribution each year to this worthwhile charity.
 
This coming May we intend join in the Douglas “Bra Dash” or maybe that might be a “Bra wheel or push” to increase our fund raising activities. Watch out for the forthcoming coverage of this event.
 
How valuable this is to our residents to be able to put something back into the community?
