Residents and Staff all adorned in pink joined together to have a good time and raise money for their adopted charity

Shirley, the cook, excelled herself with a stunning array of home made cream cakes and a Pink Valentines Cake.

Julie the Manager said " I have never seen so many people dancing complete with walking sticks and zimmer frames.  It was a truly inspirational day"

£150 was raised for the Isle of Man branch of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and this makes a welcome start to the 2012 fund raising.

"Zimmer frame? No problem"

Shergy? Well he tried ice skating and failed!

Shergy continues to "help" in Christmas preparations

"I was here first what makes you think you are cuter?"

  • Well friends Christmas preparations started last week with a visit from the dog trainer!!!  As I truly expected it was Julie and Ed who needs the training and not myself.  The trainer said I was very handsome, very clever and super intelligent.  Correct on all counts I think you will agree.  Julie and Ed went to buy a book for me to read called "Puppy School" and I think I will pass it on to them once I have given it the once over
  • Sadly the dog trainer reinforced this idea of neutering but the more I find out about it the less an attractive  proposition it looks

"Here I am guarding our train"                    "Who is this feller in the sassy red suit?"

"Now why I am expected to guard the penguins?"

"I am still more handsome than the polar bear"         "rocking horses? Whatever next, is it an invasion?"

  • Now when it comes to decorating the trees I simply like to investigate what is underneath them and don't see why this is such a problem just because the tree normally ends up falling over

"must be something to eat under here somewhere"

  • On to brighter things  have received a letter from Santa and a certificate which clearly states "Shergy has been very well behaved and has done what he has been told"  Julie thinks she must have been sleeping when this good behavior occurred.
  • I also have a stocking hanging up with my name on which already seems to be filling up with goodies.  Clearly I am on the "good puppies" list.  Julie's stocking is empty

"Please note that my stocking is the biggest"

  • A serious hunt is being undertaken for a Queen's nose!  Julie left three £20 notes on her desk and I tried to eat them in her absence.  When she returned I made them into many pieces.  Julie stuck them back together with sellotape and to her horror found that the Queen's nose was still missing on one note.  A reward has been offered for its safe return.
  • Well must go and do my last minute Christmas shopping I will get back in touch with you after Christmas Day to let you know how my first Christmas went.
  • As I won't be sending Christmas Cards this year due to the fact that the stamps are so difficult to lick and stick all that remains for me to say is:-
Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year to all my friends
